About Konstantin Kostov
Born in 1988 in Plovdiv, he lives and works in Sofia. He graduated in Painting from the National Academy of Art in Sofia in 2011, where he now is a postgraduate student. He was artist-in-residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. He did an exchange term within the Erasmus Program at the Burg Giebichenstein Hochschule für Kunst und Design in Halle (Saale), Germany. He has won the award of the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, the National Art Academy Award and the Société Générale Expressbank award in 2013; the Painting Award of the St. Cyril and St. Methodius Foundation Competition for Young Artists, Critics and Curators in 2011. He was nominated for the 7èmes Jeux de la Francophonie in 2013 and the Essl Art Award CEE in the same year.
